Citeline, part of the Norstella group of pharma information solutions, is seeking an experienced and dynamic News Editor to help guide and strengthen our coverage of the global medical technology, diagnostics, and digital health sectors.

As News Editor, you will play a central role in shaping Citeline’s coverage of the medtech, diagnostics, and digital health sectors. You will guide a team of reporters to produce high-quality, agenda-setting journalism that explains how policy, regulatory, and commercial developments are reshaping the global healthcare landscape.

In addition to managing and editing coverage, you will also be expected to take the lead on reporting major developments, breaking news, and enterprise stories in the sector. This is a hands-on editorial role for someone who can both steer coverage priorities and actively contribute impactful reporting.

You will work closely with senior editors, data teams, and analysts across Citeline to ensure our coverage is distinctive, accurate, and aligned with audience needs.

Oversee and edit daily news, features, and analysis on medtech, diagnostics, and digital health topics.

Personally report and write on major developments, exclusives, or agenda-setting stories in the sector.

Guide reporters in developing story ideas, sourcing strategies, and strong editorial angles.

Commission and edit stories to ensure accuracy, depth, and adherence to Citeline’s editorial standards.

Monitor policy, regulatory, and market trends to identify emerging themes and coverage opportunities.

Coordinate with other Citeline and Norstella editorial teams to ensure alignment and avoid duplication.

Mentor reporters to strengthen their writing, source-building, and subject-matter expertise.

Help plan coverage of major industry events and regulatory milestones.

Contribute to broader editorial strategy discussions, product development, and audience engagement initiatives.

At least 8-years of experience in journalism, including several years covering the pharmaceutical, medtech, or broader healthcare sectors.

Proven editorial judgment, with experience commissioning, editing, and reporting complex stories in a fast-paced newsroom.

Strong understanding of healthcare policy, regulatory frameworks, and commercial dynamics across global markets.

Demonstrated ability to guide and mentor reporters, helping them refine story ideas and reporting depth.

Excellent editing, writing, and communication skills, with strong attention to accuracy and clarity.

Ability to balance daily deadlines with longer-term editorial planning.

Experience working with international teams or cross-functional editorial projects is a plus.

A collaborative mindset and commitment to high-quality, data-driven journalism.
