Objective
To craft clear, direct, and SEO-optimized content that resonates with the target audience, supports lead generation, and upholds journalistic integrity. The role demands sharp writing, emotional intelligence, and trend-driven thinking, with a deep understanding of press release standards, journalism ethics, audience psychology, and digital content ecosystems.
Core Responsibilities & Deliverables1. Content Strategy & Client Understanding
- Develop a deep understanding of client products, services, and industry landscape.
- Conduct interviews and collaborate with client servicing/account teams for insights.
- Create and validate detailed buyer personas with client input.
2. Copy Creation Across Channels
- Write original, engaging, and audience-focused copy for:
- Websites, blogs, emailers, newsletters
- Social media posts, ad campaigns, product/service descriptions
- Ensure SEO best practices: keyword integration, meta tags, interlinking, readability.
- Adapt tone, voice, and messaging as per client industry and target audience.
3. News & Press Content Development
- Draft professional press releases that meet global media standards.
- Conduct interviews and transform insights into news-style stories and features.
- Write newsletter features, industry updates, and opinion articles with a journalistic approach.
- Ensure compliance with AP Style / industry-standard editorial guidelines.
4. AI-Assisted & Emotionally Intelligent Writing
- Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for research, ideation, and draft acceleration.
- Combine storytelling with data insights and trend analysis.
- Leverage analytics, SEO reports, and audience behavior metrics to guide content planning.
5. Proofreading & Editorial Review
- Edit and proofread all content for grammar, clarity, style, and brand consistency.
- Maintain zero-error, high-quality deliverables.
- Fact-check and ensure credibility of sources.
6. Collaboration & Content Presentation
- Work closely with marketing, design, SEO, and strategy teams for content integration.
- Present content drafts to internal stakeholders/clients for feedback.
- Incorporate revisions and optimize for impact.
7. Growth & Upskilling
- Stay updated with latest SEO, content, and digital media trends.
- Strengthen knowledge of journalism standards, news writing, and media relations.
- Build skills for data-informed storytelling, UX writing, and editorial leadership.

- Timely content delivery & turnaround time
- SEO performance: keyword rankings, organic traffic improvements

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of journalistic writing, news editing, and press release drafting
- Excellent SEO writing & digital content optimization skills
- Ability to write across multiple formats: short-form, long-form, editorial, marketing copy
- Strong research, interviewing, and fact-checking skills
- Knowledge of content distribution across news portals, blogs, and social media
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, HubSpot, etc.)
- Proficiency with SEO tools (SEMRush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, SurferSEO, etc.)
- Creative thinking, adaptability, and audience-first mindset
