About the Organization
We are an emerging nonprofit preparing to launch a mission-driven clothing brand. The project aims to support outreach programs and resources that create safe, supportive spaces for marginalized communities within faith contexts.
Our team is currently in the pre-launch phase, building our online presence, developing our brand voice, and preparing for our official public launch.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Volunteer Newsletter Coordinator to help us develop and manage our email newsletter ahead of our official launch. This role is ideal for students or early-career professionals interested in communications, nonprofit outreach, digital marketing, or advocacy-focused work.
The Newsletter Coordinator will work closely with our small team to help establish our email communications, develop engaging newsletter content, and create strategies that introduce our mission to a broader audience once the organization launches.
Responsibilities
- Help set up and organize the organization’s email newsletter platform
- Develop a content plan and publication schedule leading up to the launch
- Write and edit engaging newsletter content including updates, stories, and announcements
- Assist in developing a consistent brand voice across email communications
- Support the creation of launch-related announcements and campaigns through the newsletter
- Help grow and manage the email subscriber list
- Track basic email analytics and suggest strategies to improve engagement and reach
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in communications, nonprofit work, marketing, or digital media
- Familiarity with email newsletter platforms (Mailchimp, Substack, ConvertKit, or similar tools are a plus)
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to organize content effectively
- Organized, creative, and comfortable working remotely
- Passion for community-building and mission-driven work
