We are currently seeking high-energy professionals who are customer-focused to join our dynamic organization as an NGL/LPG Operations Scheduler. This role is for rail fleet coordination/rail scheduling with the goal of providing safe and reliable flow assurance for Chevron’s Upstream and Downstream and Chemicals business while maximizing commercial value.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Schedule railcars to gather, transport, and deliver NGL/LPGs for Chevron's Upstream, Downstream and Trading businesses in North America
Lead day-to-day railcar scheduling and operations including nominations, system balancing, and journey management
Record all related purchase, sale and exchange activities in the trading and rail management systems
Collaborate on and communicate operational costs, optimization initiatives, and best practice learning
Collaborate with railroads, Rail Transportation & Operations team, and others to mitigate operational risk, prevent incidents, and respond to any incidents that may occur
Partner with traders to manage physical inventory positions and recommend trade activity based on interactions with third parties
Required qualifications:
Rail scheduling or fleet management experience
On-call availability for evening, weekend and holiday scheduling emergencies
Team player and ability to work in fast-paced environment
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Excellent communication and customer management
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in the NGL/LPG commodity space
Experience in a trading organization
Railtrac, eBill or similar platform experience
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
