NICU staff nurse

Core responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide specialized care to critically ill and premature infants.
• Monitoring: Continuously monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) and overall condition.
• Medication and Treatment: Administer medications, IV fluids, and nutrition as prescribed by physicians, which may involve complex calculations and double-checking.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor medical equipment such as ventilators, incubators, and phototherapy lights.
• Assessment and Procedures: Perform diagnostic tests and assist in procedures like IV cannulation.
• Family Support: Educate and provide emotional support to parents and families regarding the infant's condition and care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and document all care provided.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

Required skills and qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Experience in NICU, pediatric, or critical care settings
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Strong clinical skills in areas like ventilator management, IV therapy, and patient assessment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,471.98 - ₹30,242.71 per month
