A NICU Staff Nurse provides specialized, round-the-clock care for premature or critically ill newborns, involving intensive monitoring, administering complex treatments (meds, IVs, ventilation), operating advanced equipment, and performing tasks like feeding/bathing, all while educating and supporting stressed families and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team (doctors, therapists) to ensure optimal recovery and development, requiring critical thinking and emotional resilience
