Night Auditor

Job Summary:

This dual-role position combines the responsibilities of a Night Auditor. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for balancing daily financial transactions, managing guest services during the night shift, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records.

Night Auditor Responsibilities:

• Nightly Audit Process:

Reconcile and balance all accounts for the day’s operations, ensuring all transactions are accurate and recorded properly.

• Guest Services:

Provide excellent guest service during the night shift, handling check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries. Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.

• Daily Reporting:

Prepare daily financial reports, including credit card reconciliations and end-of-day reports for management.

• Security Checks:

Perform routine security checks of the property to ensure safety and monitor for any suspicious activities.

• Problem Solving:

Address any guest issues or complaints that arise during the night shift, escalating matters to the appropriate department when necessary.

• End-of-Day Closeout:

Ensure all systems are properly closed out, transactions are posted, and accounting is accurate for the next day’s operations.

• Public Area Maintenance:

Perform cleaning and maintenance of all public areas (lobbies, hallways, restrooms, outdoor spaces) during the overnight shift, ensuring they are spotless for the next day.

• Guest Assistance:

Respond to overnight guest requests promptly, including delivering extra supplies, addressing guest complaints, or assisting with basic maintenance issues (e.g., changing light bulbs, unclogging drains).

• Breakfast Setup Assistance:

Assist the breakfast team with early morning setup, including setting out items for service and preparing the dining area for guest use.

Qualifications:

• Guest Service Skills:

Strong customer service skills, with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.

• Attention to Detail:

High attention to detail for both financial accuracy (Night Auditor) and cleanliness standards (Houseman).

• Basic Maintenance Knowledge:

Ability to perform light maintenance tasks, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, changing light bulbs, etc.

• Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.), bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time.

• Flexibility:

Must be able to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
