Responsibilities

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Greet customers warmly, answer their questions, and provide product information or demos when needed
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area by stocking supplies and merchandising products effectively
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed to keep the store secure during overnight hours
• Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves and conducting basic stock checks
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns professionally and courteously
• Upsell products or services to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Communicate clearly with team members and management about store needs or issues

Experience

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in managing team members or shifts
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math calculations is essential
• Strong communication skills, phone etiquette, and customer service orientation are vital for success
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, product demos, or upselling will set you apart
• Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
