Night Dispatcher
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule and plan customer deliveries/orders on a daily basis for distribution to all drivers.
- Receive and handle phone orders, faxes, e-mails for all deliveries to be scheduled.
- Coordinate delivery schedule for both day and night deliveries.
- Respond to the customer?s needs in a timely and professional manner to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Responsible to maintain lowest possible costs through proper scheduling.
- Responsible to maximize loaded miles to increase efficiency.
- Communicate with maintenance staff regarding availability of fleet equipment, PM?s, and repairs.
- Handle inventory control for designated customers and locations.
- Separate and scan paperwork to be forwarded to customers as well as review scans for remote terminals.
- Communicate to Billing Supervisor and General Manager any system malfunctions which affect the ability to scan.
- Coordinate driver access to loading terminals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by President and General Manager.
