Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Night Dispatcher (Airport Division) to join our operations team. The Dispatcher will serve as a central communication hub between drivers, customers, and internal departments, ensuring shipments are monitored, adjusted as needed, and delivered according to established requirements. While prior air freight or dispatching experience is beneficial, it is not required. If you bring strong communication skills, organizational ability, and a willingness to learn, we will provide the training and tools you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the communication point for company drivers, relaying instructions, updates, and requirements.
• Monitor and track driver routes, vehicle locations, and shipment progress.
• Provide drivers with critical information, including close-out times, paperwork requirements, and delivery details.
• Adjust driver assignments and routes to respond to unforeseen challenges.
• Prioritize incoming calls and requests from drivers and customers, resolving issues based on urgency.
• Provide timely and professional updates to customers on shipment status and delivery times.
• Complete required administrative tasks, including paperwork, scanning, filing, and responding to emails.
• Support the overall efficiency and safety of airport operations.

Schedule

• Tuesday-Saturday, 4:00 PM start time.
• Average shift length: 10.5 hours, with flexibility up to 12 hours on rare occasions
• Consistent overtime opportunities after 40 hours per week
• Dispatchers average 50–55 hours per week.
• Schedules may adjust periodically to support business needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Active listening ability and sound judgment
• Familiarity with TSA and HAZMAT freight procedures is a plus, but not required
• Previous dispatch, transportation, or logistics experience is a plus, but not required
