1. Represent the Front Office and hotel in the absence of Senior Management.

2. Maintains smooth hotel operations by attending to guest complaints, request and inquiries.

3. Makes the necessary rounds of the entire hotel property and inspect as outlined in the duty managers checklist and submit reports as required.

4. To frequently review the arrival list thus ensuring that all VIPs and special room request are blocked and to escort VIP guests to their rooms

5. Be aware of room availability and sensitively manage overbooking situations where late night turn-away is required.

6. Promote in house sales by having thorough knowledge of the hotel facilities and daily hotel activities.

7. Inform the housekeeper, room service, etc. of special requests, early and late departures, room changes, taxis, newspaper requests and all other important information.

8. Ensure the cleanliness/neatness of the hotel including back of house areas by monitoring night cleaning activities.

9. To ensure that team members are neat, wearing the correct attire and ready to perform their duties to the fullest at all times.

10. Have good relationship with all other colleagues.

11. Manage and delegate duties to staff within the department.

12. Keeps senior management informed of the latest ideas affecting the operation of the department

13. To have and maintain effective communication with other Heads of department, Line Managers.

  • To be able to perform any additional scope of duties if requested by the Management.
  • To attend the mandatory External and Internal training and following the company training policy.

Experience:

  • Night Manager: 3 years (Required)
