Night Nanny in Ann Arbor

Start Date: May 4th

Description: A family in Ann Arbor is seeking an experienced Night Nanny or Newborn Care Specialist to provide overnight support beginning the first week of May following the arrival of their newborn. The position will run for approximately 10–12 weeks postpartum. The family is looking for someone who has extensive hands-on newborn experience and is comfortable working overnight shifts while helping guide the early weeks with a new baby. The ideal candidate will feel confident assisting with establishing healthy sleep and feeding rhythms, supporting a breastfeeding mother, and helping with bottle introduction when the time is right. This family would love to work with a calm, knowledgeable caregiver who brings both experience and a supportive presence during the overnight hours. Candidates must be Infant CPR and BLS certified and fully up to date on vaccinations, with TDAP and MMR particularly important to the family. The home does include two small dogs, though no pet care is required.

Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday
• 9pm - 7am

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Requirements:

• 3+ years of non-parent newborn care experience
• Night nanny / overnight newborn care experience preferred
• Fully vaccinated (TDAP and MMR required – non-negotiable)
• Infant CPR and BLS certified
• Professional, calm, and dependable for overnight care
• Flexibility to potentially add an additional overnight shift toward the end of the contract as mom returns to work is preferred, but not required.

Duties:

• Overnight care for the newborn while parents rest
• Diapering, soothing, and settling baby during night wakings
• Bring baby to mother for breastfeeding and assist with resettling
• Assist with bottle preparation and bottle introduction
• Support healthy newborn sleep and feeding routines
• Wash bottles and pump parts used during the shift
• Light baby laundry (swaddles, sleepers, burp cloths) as needed
• Keep nursery and feeding areas tidy
• Track overnight feedings, sleep, and diaper changes for parents

Pay: $35-40/hour, guaranteed 40 hours per week, 2 day PTO, sick leave

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
