Night Operations Manager

Description:

Shoreline Transportation is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Operations Department as a Night Operations Manager. We provide trucking services for local customers. This position would be carrying out the responsibilities of the Operations Department and ensuring the company accuracy in its day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

• Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles, such as Commercial Motor Vehicles.
• Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
• Available for calls during the hours of 5pm – 5am to support, manage and direct investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints or needs.
• Serve as contact person for all customers or shippers within assigned territories.
• Collaborate with other managers and staff members to coordinate and plan for nightly driver requirements.
• Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
• Work directly with maintenance management and staff to ensure repairs and maintenance to equipment, vehicles, and facilities are being met.
• Report nightly to executive management.

Requirements:

• Currently live within a 30-mile radius of Montgomery, AL.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management and logistics planning.
• Experience with the logistics planning of Automotive Manufacturing a plus.
• Strong Computer Skills a must: Microsoft office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills.
• Work a 12-hour shift | 5PM to 5AM | Sunday ~ Friday & two Saturdays a month.
• Good organizational and motivational skills.
• Awareness of internal and external customer needs.
• Travel between Montgomery, AL to West Point, GA to be expected.
