Overview

Centaur Security Services is seeking a vigilant, dependable, and professional Night Patrol Security Officer to join our team immediately. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of assigned premises during overnight hours. The ideal candidate is observant, proactive, and able to respond effectively to a range of security situations while working independently.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned facilities and surrounding areas.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, security breaches, and safety hazards.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
• Observe, document, and report all irregularities and incidents clearly and thoroughly.
• Enforce company and client security policies and follow detailed post orders.
• Maintain accurate logs of patrols, observations, and incidents.
• Assist in de-escalating conflicts professionally and calmly.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and support investigations.
• Ensure all security equipment (including CCTV and alarms) is operational; report malfunctions promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid state-issued guard card (required).
• Clean driving record (DMV report required).
• Full-time overnight availability, including weekends.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit to perform regular patrol duties during overnight hours.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields preferred (not required).
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, or conflict management are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems (e.g., CCTV) is a plus.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
