Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our construction and heavy equipment operation team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating dump trucks and other heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment. Candidates with experience in excavator, dozer, loader, backhoe, grader, water truck, horizontal drilling, tanker, and paving are highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris to and from construction sites.
- Perform routine inspections of dump trucks and other heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist with the operation of additional heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, horizontal drills, tankers, and paving equipment as needed.
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project schedules.
- Maintain accurate logs of material loads and transportation activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction site safety standards.
- Conduct minor maintenance or troubleshooting on equipment when necessary to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating dump trucks and other heavy machinery.
- Proven experience operating dump trucks in construction or similar environments.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, horizontal drills, tankers, and paving machinery.
- Construction site experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to operate Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
