Night Shift Dispatch / Guard

Job Summary
Join our team as a Night Shift Dispatch / Guard, where you will be the vigilant guardian of our facility during overnight hours. This role combines the responsibilities of a security professional with dispatching duties, ensuring the safety and smooth operation of our business. Your proactive approach and keen observation skills will help prevent loss, monitor customer product for quality and assist our drivers with a seamless departure to customer locations.

Duties

• Complete scheduled checks on trucks and product throughout the night.
• Documentation of driver out times versus scheduled out times.
• Communicate with driver manager regarding staffing changes or logistics needs if any arise during the night.
• Conduct regular security checks and patrols to ensure the integrity of access points, fences, and other critical areas.
• Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and communication records with accuracy and clarity.
• Provide manifest and all DOT paperwork to drivers prior to the truck leaving the facility.
• Utilize strong communication skills to coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Enforce loss prevention policies by observing suspicious behavior and intervening appropriately to prevent theft or damage.
• Possess the ability to reset / restart equipment as required to prevent damage to product.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Excellent communication skills for effective reporting, which will be completed via phone and/or written reports.
• Ability to write clear, detailed reports documenting incidents and daily activities.
• Strong observational skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and security measures.
• Must be able to work overnight shifts consistently while maintaining alertness and focus.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Prior experience in law enforcement, security, dispatching, or related fields is highly desirable.

Work Schedule

Sunday - Thursday from 11 pm to 7 am

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
