Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Night-Time Dispatcher, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our transportation operations running smoothly during overnight hours. In this vital role, you will coordinate driver movement, manage dispatching activities, and ensure seamless communication across all of our customers and drivers. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will contribute to efficient supply chain management, supporting our commitment to timely ETAs and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate services such as, jump starts, lock outs, tows, etc. using transportation management systems such as Tow books, Swoop, and Clover to take payments and keep track of driver activity.
- Utilize GPS and GIS tools for mapping, verify vehicle locations, and enhance transportation planning accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and motor clubs via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette at all times.
- Enter data accurately into logistics platforms, including creating & receiving dispatches, fleet management systems including where our trucks are on a night-to-night basis, and to ensure accuracy in pricing.
- Dispatch drivers for services and tows based on real-time information, adjusting plans as needed to address delays or issues.
- Conduct analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the tow industry.
- Collaborate with multiple motor club providers and 3rd party teams to coordinate vehicle movements, manage towing/service schedules, and resolve challenges promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in GPS tracking and maps, preferably with familiarity in dispatching roles and willing to work during night shifts.
- Strong knowledge of transportation planning including who to send to the call, when to send them, why you are sending them, and how can this improve our customer satisafaction.
- Hands-on experience with transportation management systems such as Tow Books or similar platforms. Preferred but not required.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret ETAs related to driver efficiency, traffic trends, and the time it takes to provide each service.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally while maintaining clear communication under pressure.
- Strong typing skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping in fast-paced environments. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
