We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations and support our continued growth.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, storage, shipping, and team leadership. This role ensures accurate inventory control, efficient workflow, compliance with food safety standards, and timely fulfillment of customer and production requirements.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has experience managing warehouse teams, inventory systems, and food industry compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, shipping, and distribution.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate warehouse personnel.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts and audits.
- Coordinate material movement to support production schedules and customer orders.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and company food safety standards.
- Monitor warehouse productivity and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper maintenance and safe operation.
- Develop and enforce warehouse procedures and best practices.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Sales teams to support business objectives.
- Prepare reports related to inventory, labor, shipping, and warehouse performance.
QualificationsRequired
- 3+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience.
- Experience in food manufacturing, food distribution, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Experience with warehouse management and inventory software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and warehouse best practices.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in warehouse and refrigerated storage environments as needed.
