NJ Registered Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
  • Take X-Rays
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Open Dental, updating medical documentation accurately.
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Measure vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures.
  • Support administrative tasks by functioning as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and reviewing treatment plans.
  • Operate advanced dental technology like 3D scanners.
  • Taking Intra-Oral Photos
  • Packing Retraction Cord
  • Fabricating Temporaries
  • Taking Impressions and pouring models
  • Making chair side appliances such as occlusal guards and retainers.
  • Delivery of post-op instructions

Qualifications

  • Valid NJ Registered Dental Assistant license with current certification.
  • Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental
  • Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to all safety standards.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 18 per week
