NOC SHIFT CAREGIVER/MED TECH (FRI-TUES)

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status accurately
• Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Provide Alzheimer’s and dementia-specific care, implementing memory care strategies to promote comfort and orientation
• Support residents with assisted living needs within personal care homes or group home settings, ensuring a safe and engaging environment
• Manage behavioral challenges through compassionate behavior management techniques tailored to individual needs
• Assist with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a clean, organized living space to promote health and safety

Qualifications

• Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, dementia care, and Alzheimer’s care practices
• Certification or training in first aid is required; additional certifications such as CPR are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting residents’ social well-being
• Experience operating EMR systems for accurate documentation of care activities
• Valid driver’s license for driving residents or supplies when needed; clean driving record preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours during the overnight shift from Friday through Tuesday

Pay: $21.00 per hour
