Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a NOC SHIFT CAREGIVER/MED TECH (FRI-TUES), where your compassion and expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents requiring long-term care and support. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, monitor health and safety, and ensure a warm, safe environment for individuals with diverse needs. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status accurately
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Provide Alzheimer’s and dementia-specific care, implementing memory care strategies to promote comfort and orientation
- Support residents with assisted living needs within personal care homes or group home settings, ensuring a safe and engaging environment
- Manage behavioral challenges through compassionate behavior management techniques tailored to individual needs
- Assist with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a clean, organized living space to promote health and safety
Qualifications
- Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, dementia care, and Alzheimer’s care practices
- Certification or training in first aid is required; additional certifications such as CPR are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting residents’ social well-being
- Experience operating EMR systems for accurate documentation of care activities
- Valid driver’s license for driving residents or supplies when needed; clean driving record preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours during the overnight shift from Friday through Tuesday
