Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Part-Time NOC Shift Universal Worker and Day Shift Medical Technician! Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient and resident care during NOC (night) shifts and daytime hours, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility support, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature; document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Assist with medical procedures including medication administration, tube feeding, catheter care, and other treatments following medical terminology and physiology knowledge.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia by implementing specialized memory care strategies and ensuring a safe environment aligned with Alzheimer’s and dementia care best practices.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations; update medical records promptly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to report changes in patient condition; assist in emergency responses when necessary.
- Uphold infection control standards through proper use of PPE and sanitation protocols; ensure compliance with healthcare regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, hospice or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care procedures such as catheter care and vital signs monitoring.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is advantageous; familiarity with medical documentation standards is essential.
- Strong caregiving skills for seniors and individuals with disabilities; compassionate approach to dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, hospice or acute care needs.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts (NOC) as well as daytime hours; flexibility to adapt to varying schedules.
- Excellent communication skills; understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
