Route Description
I am looking for a dependable driver a residential trash and recycling route Monday–Friday. The route averages 200–400 homes and 20–25 commercial stops, with 7–10 hour shifts and 40–45 hours per week. Monday's work is a recycle route and Tue-Fri are garbage routes. Non-CDL and CDL drivers are welcome to apply.

**Selected candidate will be given 2-4 weeks to learn the route w/ help of a trainer and their route sheets.

Pay:

- Non-CDL drivers start at $24 / hr for this position

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a residential garbage truck, being aware of surroundings including traffic, pedestrians, overhead wires, fences, and curbs.
• Follow assigned routes and ensure all scheduled stops are collected; ability to use maps / gps if needed.
• Load and empty garbage containers (distances required to push/pull may be 10-20 feet) and push/pull carts as needed.
• Work in all weather conditions while maintaining a positive, professional attitude. Engage with customers in a friendly and fashionable manner.

Qualifications

- Required

• DOT Med Card (or ability to acquire)
• Ability and willingness to start between 3:00-4:00am consistently
• Reliable transportation and attendance
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull containers up to 30 ft. Desired candidate must have the ability to get in and out of truck ~100-200 times a route.

- Preferred

• Previous truck driving or delivery experience
• Customer service skills for interacting with residents
