Non-CDL Small Flatbed Dump Truck Driver

PaverScape is a full-service hardscape, landscape, and outdoor living space design/build company that has been serving the Charleston, SC area since 1999.

We are currently searching for a highly professional, prompt, and skilled Non-CDL Small Flatbed Dump Truck Driver to join our ever-growing team. The Driver position will be a "hands-on" team-player who will be responsible for delivering project materials, hauling, and project clean-ups when our projects are completed.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: (required)

• Experienced driver with a CLEAN driving record
• Extensive knowledge of standard and manual vehicle operation.
• Ability to operate an automatic Ford F650 Flatbed Dump Truck and a GMC 4500 Topkick Flatbed Dump Truck.
• Ability to load and unload truck (with Bobcat or by hand).
• Ability to lift and hand load up to 80lbs.
• Make deliveries and ensure product is undamaged and delivered in a timely fashion.
• Ability to read and write to record pickups and maintain daily records.
• Operate vehicle in accordance with local and state transportation regulations.
• Knowledge of raw aggregate materials, paver materials, plant materials, irrigation, and other landscape products is a plus (but will train)!
• Maintain and protect all Company vehicles / property entrusted to you such as daily maintenance/cleanliness and report any truck issues.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the storage yard and other general duties while not driving.
• The small flatbed dump trucks do not require a CDL and are both under said weight requirements.
• Treat the inside of the truck like it's your home and your mother's coming for dinner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School or secondary diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid state driver’s license
• Minimum of 3 years of driving experience
• Must have at least 1-2 years' experience with operating a Bobcat (skid steer)
• Hardscape and Landscape industry experience is a big plus
• Knowledge of the Charleston area and traffic patterns a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• This position is physically strenuous and demanding most days.
• Drivers will be lifting and managing heavy objects and therefore must be able to lift 80 lbs. if necessary
• Drivers will have to work in all types of weather and must be prepared for both hot and cold temperatures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
