Non- CDL Truck Driver/Shipping Associate

The Non-CDL Truck Driver / Shipping Associate is responsible for the safe local transportation of goods while supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, timely deliveries, and compliance with all applicable Massachusetts and federal laws, safety standards, and company policies.

This position reports to the Warehouse Logistics Manager, who also serves as the backup for this role.

Responsibilities:

Operate company vehicles (non-CDL) to deliver products to customers and/or pick up materials from vendors.

Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.

Inspect vehicle before and after each trip (DVIR).

Ensure all delivery paperwork is accurate and completed.

Follow designated routes and delivery schedules.

Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.

Comply with all DOT and state driving regulations applicable to non-CDL vehicles.

Prepare orders for shipment (picking, packing, labeling, palletizing).

Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.

Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory.

Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).

Ensure any returned goods are documented, placed in the warehouse, and communicated immediately with management from the delivery point.

Ensure that excessive detention of a customer is communicated with management immediately, from the delivery point.

Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.

Assist with inventory counts as needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

All other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check

Previous delivery and/or warehouse experience preferred

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Strong communication skills

Education/Training:

High school diploma or GED required

Basic Reading, Writing and Math skills.

Related Experience/Requirements:

Food warehouse environment required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to regularly lift 50–75 lbs

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods

Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures, including cold refrigerated environments

Ability to safely climb in and out of a truck cab multiple times per day

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
