Job Description:

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Address: 2415 N Orange Ave

  • Coordinates pre-transplant evaluations and assessments.
  • Manages the transplant waiting list and patient status updates.
  • Facilitates communication between patients, families, and the transplant team.
  • Organizes and schedules transplant surgeries and related procedures.
  • Provides education and support to patients and families throughout the transplant process.
  • Monitors post-transplant recovery and follow‑up care.
  • Manages donor organ procurement and transportation logistics.
  • Communicates the schedule for stem cell collections/harvest with the dialysis department.
  • Coordinates with the blood bank to facilitate designated donor and pheresis blood products for the patient.
  • Coordinates pre‑ and post‑bone marrow transplant evaluations for the patient and donor, when applicable.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to transplant coordination.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong assessment skills [Preferred]
  • Sound clinical judgment, decision making, and problem-solving skills [Preferred]
  • Concise oral and written communication skills [Preferred]
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team-environment [Preferred]
  • Effective time management skills in high stress environment [Preferred]
  • Basic computer skills [Preferred]
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) [Preferred]
  • Nursing case management [Preferred]

Education:

  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:
  • 1+ year leadership experience [Required]
  • 1+ year of transplant, critical care [Required]
  • 3+ year of critical nursing experience [Preferred]
  • Critical care experience or palliative care of patients with life-limiting or life-threatening illness [Preferred]
  • Teaching/preceptor experience [Preferred]
  • Transplant care experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

Pay Range:

$72,189.82 - $134,259.75
