Non-Emergency Driver/ NEMT

We are looking for reliable , dependable, self motivated, caring and safe drivers for a rapidly growing non-emergent medical transportation company.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a NEMT wheelchair and stretcher van
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers during transportation
- Follow app based designated routes and schedules to ensure on-time arrivals and departures
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs for the vehicle to ensure its safe operation

- Rotating early mornings, late evenings and weekends and some overtime are required

Experience:
- Previous experience in transportation or working with the disabled and elderly
- Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary and a significant amount of pushing, pulling, bending and stooping.

Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and clean criminal background
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable and Dependable. Must be able to use app based routing, scheduling and time keeping.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and also follow instructions
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair, the city streets and traffic flow.

- Able to pass preemployment drug screening and background checks

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
