Non-Emergency Medical Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of paratransit vans to transport patients and clients to medical appointments, hospitals, and other destinations.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles, including routine inspections and reporting any issues promptly.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns efficiently.
• Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a secure transportation environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service by being friendly, professional, and attentive to passenger needs throughout each trip.

Experience

• Previous experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
• Experience with paratransit services or transporting individuals with mobility challenges is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle maintenance tasks related to vehicle upkeep.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety standards relevant to passenger transportation.

We are looking for drivers with a clean 3-year driving record, drug-free, and can pass a background check.

Transports times and schedules can change daily so the need for someone who can be flexible is required.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
