Non-Emergency Medical Driver

Job Summary
As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will play a crucial role in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients' conditions, administering first aid, and transporting individuals to medical facilities. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals and emergency responders to ensure the highest level of care is delivered during critical situations.

Duties

• Assess patients' conditions and determine the necessary course of action in emergency situations.
• Administer basic life support and first aid as required, including CPR and wound care.
• Safely transport patients to medical facilities while monitoring their condition throughout the journey.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient status and care procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient care records and documentation of services provided during transport.
• Ensure that all medical equipment is properly maintained and stocked for emergency responses.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating emergency vehicles.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with patients and their families during stressful situations.
• Experience in shuttle driving, paratransit, limousine services, or commercial driving is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and other healthcare providers.
• Familiarity with bus driving or school bus driving can be beneficial for those transitioning into EMT roles.
• Experience as a van driver or delivery driver may also provide valuable skills applicable to this position.
