Non-Emergency Medical Driver & Route Driver

Location: Nicholas County, WV/ Greenbrier County, WV/ Fayette County, WV

Overview
Mountain Transit Authority is currently hiring full-time and part-time Non-Emergency Medical Drivers & Route Drivers in multiple locations.

• Probationary Period: A 90-day probationary period is required before employees become eligible for full-time benefits.

• License Requirement : Class D License required at hire.
• Must be at least 21 years old (per insurance requirements).
• Pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate transit buses in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of assigned vehicles.
• Assist passengers with boarding, seating, and disembarking, including individuals with disabilities.
• Accurately record routes, schedules, passenger counts, and related reports.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to ensure smooth transit operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class D CDL (passenger endorsement)
• Safe driving record with no major violations.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• Physically able to assist passengers and perform job duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
