Non-Emergency Medical Stretcher NEMT Transportation Specialist

Job Overview

We’re hiring dependable Non-Emergency Medical Transport (NEMT) Drivers to support scheduled medical trips in the Brandon area. This position is primarily focused on stretcher transports, with occasional wheelchair transports as needed. All trips are non-emergency — no lights, sirens, or emergency response.

We’re not just looking for someone who can drive. We’re looking for someone who understands they’re providing a service to people — someone who is patient, friendly, respectful, and takes pride in helping clients feel comfortable during their ride. This role does not involve providing medical care.

We provide the company vehicle and fuel for all scheduled routes. Company vehicles are parked at a secure storage location, and drivers must have reliable personal transportation to and from the vehicle location each workday.

No CDL is required for this position.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role. Part-time positions are not available.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Transport patients by stretcher to and from medical appointments
• Assist with wheelchair transports when needed
• Safely load, secure, and unload stretcher patients and wheelchairs
• Greet clients professionally and help them feel at ease during transport
• Treat all clients with patience, kindness, and respect
• Follow all safety, securement, and infection-control procedures
• Use GPS, an iPad, and dispatch software for routes and communication
• Stay in touch with dispatch throughout the day
• Keep company vehicles clean and presentable
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies

What We’re Looking For

• Prior non-emergency medical transport experience preferred
• Experience transporting stretcher patients strongly preferred
• Friendly, calm, and professional demeanor
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver 100+ lbs using proper techniques
• Valid U.S. driver’s license
• Clean driving record (past 7 years)
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Fluent in English
• At least 25 years old
• Valid Social Security card

Pay & Job Details

• W-2 employee
• $16–$19 per hour (based on experience)
• Paid weekly
• Overtime may be available depending on scheduling needs, but is not guaranteed

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Shifts generally between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Full-time only
• Daily schedules provided the day before
• No CDL required
