Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and caring individual to join our team of drivers at Select Transportation Services. At Select Transportation Services we take pride in offering our clients a quality experience with their drivers/companion.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities

· Transports residents safely to and from appointments and the hospital.

· Arranges alternate transportation if scheduling does not accommodate an appointment

· Ensures all information required for a resident’s appointment is accessible, and return any information/documentation from the appointment to the nurse

· Keeps the transportation vehicle clean inside and out and maintains the vehicle’s needs such as gas, oil changes, tires, registration, etc.

· Uses all equipment according to safety policies

· Pushes and loads resident wheelchairs safely

· Pledges to never use a cell phone while driving company vehicles

· Maintains a positive and professional relationship with coworkers and outside contacts

· Other duties as necessary and assigned

Qualifications

· Must be between the age of 25-70

· Must have a valid driver license in good standing (3 years+)

· Have a clean driving record, and provide a copy prior to hire

· Must be organized and able to manage a schedule. Must be flexible and able to adjust or adapt to changes quickly and proficiently

· Dependable

· Must be neat, clean, and present a well-groomed professional appearance

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

· Must be able to read, write, and speak in the English language

· Ability to lift at least 50lbs. to a height of 3 to 4 feet and be able to push, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 200 feet

· Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases.

· Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
