Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings
  • Are at least 18 years of age and have had a valid driver’s license CONTINUOUSLY for 2 years prior to applying.
  • Have a current valid driver’s license to operate the transportation vehicle to which they are assigned.
  • Contractor must have less than two chargeable accidents or moving violations in the last three years. Your VA DMV Driver’s License Points may not be lower than a -2. (If you have a license from a state that surrounds VA (borders) the same motor vehicle record applies.
  • Drivers and attendants who have had their driver’s license suspended or revoked for moving traffic violations in the previous five years are prohibited from driving for a provider who contracts with the Contractor.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport passengers or goods to their destination
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist passengers as needed
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
  • Follow designated routes and schedules
  • Communicate with dispatch or management in a timely manner
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers or the security of goods during transportation
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Job Type:

  • Full-time
  • Monday to Friday and the weekend are available, optional every other weekend.
