Non- Emergency Medical Transportation Dispatcher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled in Non- Emergency Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving and prioritizing non- emergency calls, dispatching appropriate units, and providing information to drivers. This role requires excellent communication skills, quick decision-making abilities, and a strong understanding of non-emergency protocols.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process non-emergency calls in a timely manner.
• Maintain clear communication with drivers while transporting patients.
• Document all calls accurately in the dispatch system, ensuring all relevant details are recorded.
• Stay updated on local laws, regulations, and non-emergency response protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience in non-emergency dispatch or a related field is preferred.
• Strong phone etiquette skills to ensure clear and professional communication with callers.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure in high-stress situations.
• Knowledge of the city of Houston and surrounding areas is a plus.
