Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Job Summary
Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver and be a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals requiring assistance to reach medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. In this energetic role, you will operate various types of vehicles, including shuttle buses, limousines, and paratransit vans, ensuring passengers arrive safely and on time. Your dedication to excellent customer service and adherence to safety protocols will make a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives every day.

Duties

  • Safely operate a variety of vehicles such as shuttle buses, limousines, and paratransit vans to transport clients to scheduled appointments
  • Assist passengers with mobility needs, including heavy lifting or helping with wheelchairs and walkers
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained properly through routine inspections and reporting any issues promptly
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, courteously, and professionally with passengers and healthcare staff
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to guarantee passenger safety at all times
  • Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel use, and vehicle condition reports
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness and operational readiness

Skills

  • Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving or similar commercial driving roles
  • Strong knowledge of driving regulations for passenger transport and paratransit services
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse clients and team members
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling equipment
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance basics to identify potential issues early
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and professionalism under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., <PERSON> driver license or commercial driver’s license) with a clean driving record
  • Experience in school bus driving or limousine services is a plus
