Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and goods while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards. Experience in various driving capacities, including shuttle driving, delivery driving, and MINI-VAN driving, is highly valued.

Duties

• Safely operate vehicles to transport passengers or goods to designated locations.
• Provide shuttle services as needed, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine maintenance checks as necessary.
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Handle heavy lifting of packages or equipment when required during deliveries or pickups.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate transportation needs.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a safe driving record.
• Document any incidents or issues that occur during transport and report them promptly.

Requirements

• Must be willing to travel to Defiance for training as well as work from that location occasionally.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
• Experience in shuttle driving, delivery driver roles, or bus driving is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Ability to perform reasonable lifting as needed for deliveries or passenger assistance.
• Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus, along with experience in any driving.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols in all aspects of the job. Willingness to put safety and company policy above personal preferences.
