Non-emergency Medical transportation Driver

BD Express LLC is a disabled veteran owned NEMT transportation company in Houston area. US military retired or honorable discharged personnel is highly encouraged to apply. Company is seeking a dedicated and energetic Non-emergency Medical Transportation Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for patients requiring non-emergency medical appointments. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure patients arrive at their destinations comfortably and on time while maintaining excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals' health journeys through professional driving and attentive care.

Responsibilities

Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.

Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip.

Handle heavy lifting when necessary to assist with wheelchairs or mobility devices safely.

Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance logs for reporting purposes.

Qualifications

Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record

Must be 23 years of age

Must be able to pass a drug test and the background check test

Must Obtain CPR & First Aid Certification

Prior experience as a NEMT or Uber/Lyft driving is a plus
Must be well knowledge in using cell phone, computer and navigation systems. Well familiar with Houston area roads

Background check and Texas DMV driving records will be verified prior to hiring communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members.

Knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices.

Prior experience in customer service roles is highly desirable.
