Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to handle various driving tasks. Including, ambulatory driving, safely driving in poor weather conditions, and loading and unloading clients that have handicap needs. Bonus programs are in place.

Duties

• Safely operate vehicles such as sedans, SUV'S,wheelchair access vans to transport passengers.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper maintenance.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
• Perform some lifting as required for assisting passengers with mobility needs.
• Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel usage, and passenger counts.
• Collaborate with dispatchers to receive instructions on routes and schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or commercial driving is preferred.
• Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with passengers and team members.
• Ability to perform maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly.
• Must be able to lift items as needed during transport duties.
• A valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being operated is required.
