Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Job Summary
Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals requiring non-emergency medical travel. In this energetic role, and you will operate a rear entry wheelchair accessible minivan, to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Your dedication to excellent customer service and safe driving will ensure passengers arrive comfortably and on time. Duties

  • Safely operate a paratransit minivan to transport clients efficiently and comfortably.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, door to door providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles, including routine inspections and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Communicate clearly with dispatchers, and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies throughout each shift.
  • Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers or loading mobility aids or luggage into the vehicle.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by creating a friendly, respectful environment that prioritizes passenger comfort and safety.

Experience

  • Previous experience is not necessary as we will train on the job.
  • Experience in paratransit operations highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be minimum of 25 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a multistate criminal background check.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations related to passenger transportation.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle maintenance tasks or vehicle inspections as needed.
  • Prior experience in customer service roles that demonstrate patience, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal skills. Pay: $800.00 - $1,000.00 per week
