Duties

• Safely operate company vans to transport patients and clients to scheduled appointments or destinations
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and passenger information in accordance with company policies
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns
• Provide exceptional customer service by being friendly, respectful, and attentive to passenger needs
• Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or wheelchairs as needed

Skills

• Proven experience in Non medical transportation driving, van driving, or similar roles involving commercial or passenger transportation
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members
• Knowledge of paratransit operations and safety protocols for transporting individuals with mobility challenges
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required for passenger assistance or vehicle maintenance
• Familiarity with traffic laws related to commercial driving and specific vehicle types such as Non medical Emergency transportation vans.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability
• Basic vehicle maintenance skills to identify issues early and ensure vehicle readiness at all times

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
