Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Duties

  • Safely operate shuttle buses, limousines, paratransit vehicles, and other commercial transportation vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other destinations.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support and ensuring comfort throughout the journey.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal safety and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and team members using clear and professional communication skills.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip.
  • Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of trips, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections for compliance purposes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for commercial or bus driving).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate various vehicles including paratransit vans or school buses safely and responsibly.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with diverse clients and team members.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure safety standards are met.
