Duties
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles such as shuttle buses, paratransit vans, limousines, and school bus-style transport to carry clients to medical appointments and community destinations
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with mobility challenges or special needs
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare providers to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules efficiently
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met
- Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage while adhering to proper safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming environment, addressing passenger needs, and maintaining professionalism at all times
Experience
- Previous shuttle driving or delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with paratransit or bus driving is highly advantageous
- Proven commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating passenger vehicles (e.g., <PERSON> driver license or equivalent)
- Experience in limousine or heavy-duty vehicle driving is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and healthcare staff
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle maintenance tasks as needed
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety protocols, and vehicle maintenance procedures required for reliable operation
- Prior experience in customer service roles that involve assisting individuals with mobility challenges is desirable
