Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Duties

• Safely operate non-emergency medical transportation vehicles, including shuttle buses, limousines, or paratransit vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs
• Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and ensure vehicles are clean and well-maintained
• Handle heavy lifting when necessary to assist passengers or load medical equipment securely
• Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing passenger needs professionally
• Keep accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during shifts

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or limousine service is highly preferred
• Proven delivery driver experience or commercial driving background demonstrating safe driving practices
• Familiarity with paratransit services or heavy lifting techniques to assist passengers safely
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and healthcare staff
• Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and identify mechanical issues promptly
• Knowledge of traffic laws applicable to commercial driving and passenger transport vehicles
• Prior experience in school bus driving or <PERSON> driver roles is a plus but not mandatory
• Physical ability to lift heavy items when necessary and assist passengers as needed

Pay: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour
