Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation services for individuals requiring medical assistance. Duties

• Safely operate various types of vehicles including specialized paratransit vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or other destinations.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support for individuals with mobility challenges or special needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare providers, and dispatch staff to coordinate schedules and address any special requirements.
• Ensure adherence to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during all transportation activities.
• Perform pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety features are operational before each shift.
• Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids while maintaining proper safety protocols.

Experience

• Proven experience in Nemt, shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or other commercial driving roles with a focus on passenger safety and customer service.
• Familiarity with paratransit services, heavy lifting techniques, and maintaining vehicle maintenance records is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse clients and team members in a respectful manner.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving environments such as school bus driving or heavy-duty transit operations.
• Experience in providing exceptional customer service in a healthcare or transportation setting is highly desirable.
