Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

The Non Emergency Medical Transport Driver plays a crucial role in providing safe, reliable transport for patients requiring medical transportation without emergency urgency. Operating primarily SUVs over 8-hour shifts on an on-call basis, the driver plans routes, maintains the vehicle, and ensures patient comfort and compliance with safety standards. This role involves occasional communication with healthcare professionals and regional as well as local travel, including occasional long-distance trips.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely to and from medical appointments and facilities
• Operate SUVs adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
• Plan and navigate efficient routes for timely arrivals
• Comply with safety and health regulations at all times
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report issues promptly
• Provide courteous and supportive customer service to patients

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in non-emergency medical transport
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Defensive driving skills
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Strong time management and navigation abilities
• Patient assistance and effective communication skills
• Reliability and professionalism in all duties
