Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate non-emergency vehicles, including sedans, SUV or paratransit vans, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety protocols
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and respectful customer service throughout the journey
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, passengers, and healthcare providers to coordinate pickups and drop-offs efficiently
• Handle lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices and maintaining a focus on safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle condition reports for compliance purposes
• Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies during transit, communicating effectively with emergency responders if needed

Experience

• Proven experience as a shuttle driver, delivery driver, bus driver, or similar commercial driving role
• Familiarity with paratransit services or heavy lifting tasks related to passenger assistance
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with diverse passengers and team members
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., <PERSON> driver license or equivalent) with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and safety procedures for commercial vehicles
• Experience driving limousine or school bus vehicles is a plus but not required
• Ability to handle demanding schedules while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills

Pay: $19.50 - $24.00 per hour
