Acme Care LLC – Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Drivers Needed

Acme Care LLC is a leading provider of non-emergency medical transportation across Central Virginia, serving clients traveling to dialysis, medical appointments, and residential care facilities. We are currently seeking reliable and professional drivers from across the region, including Lynchburg, Roanoke, Blacksburg, and surrounding areas, to join our growing team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, timely, and comfortable transportation for our clients while working closely with dispatch and healthcare facilities.

Service Levels & Pay:

Ambulatory Transport (standard vehicles): $16/hour

Wheelchair Transport: $18/hour

Stretcher Transport: $20/hour

Drivers may be cross-trained across multiple service levels based on experience and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport clients safely to and from appointments and facilities

Assist with loading and unloading, including wheelchair and stretcher transfers

Properly secure all passengers and equipment during transport

Stay in communication with dispatch throughout shifts

Maintain clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicles

Accurately complete trip logs and required documentation

Support operations as needed in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications:

Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers

Clean driving record (no more than two infractions in the past 3 years)

Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Familiarity with roads and areas throughout Central Virginia

Strong communication and time-management skills

Comfortable using smartphones and basic technology

Able to perform well under pressure and manage a busy workload

Schedule & Availability:

We operate 24/7 and offer flexible scheduling but mainly 06:00 am to 05:00 pm as a regular daily shift .We work with drivers to build schedules that fit their availability, as long as full-time hours are maintained. Overtime opportunities are available.

Preferred: 2+ years of driving experience

21 years old or above
