Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Part-time Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and goods while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and maintaining a clean vehicle. The Transport Driver will engage with passengers, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during transit. We encourage all up to and including retired individuals seeking part time employment to help our older individuals.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including vans and small passenger buses to transport passengers or goods.
• Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers at designated locations.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle, performing regular inspections to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, as well as addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that may occur during transit.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance driving skills and customer service techniques.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no negative demerits)
• Previous experience as a van driver, delivery driver, school bus driver, shuttle driver, or limousine driver is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with passengers.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times while interacting with the public.
• Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
• Flexibility in work hours; availability for various shifts may be necessary (MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE LONG DISTANCES).
