Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring safe and timely transportation for passengers. This role involves driving various types of vehicles, including vans, wheel chair vans and sedans, to transport individuals to their destinations. The Transport Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive experience for all passengers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles, including vans and buses, to transport passengers to designated locations.
• Communicate effectively with passengers to provide updates on travel times and any changes in schedule.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle by performing regular inspections and reporting any maintenance needs.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Manage heavy lifting when necessary, assisting passengers with luggage or mobility devices.
• Document daily activities, including mileage and passenger counts.

Experience

• Previous experience as a driver in roles such as Paratransit, delivery driver, school bus driving, or limousine services is preferred.
• Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with passengers and team members.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Experience in customer service is highly valued.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during passenger assistance.
• Familiarity with bus driving or van driving regulations is a plus.
