Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver (Wheelchair & Stretcher)

About the Role

Ambucab is hiring professional, reliable drivers to transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and facilities.

This is not a typical driving job — you are responsible for patient care, safety, and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher
• Assist patients in and out of the vehicle when needed
• Operate lifts, ramps, and stretcher equipment properly
• Maintain on-time pickups and drop-offs
• Communicate with dispatch regarding trip updates
• Provide a respectful, professional experience for all clients
• Complete trip documentation accurately

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to safely assist and transport patients (including lifting with a partner when required)
• Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to follow schedules and directions

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT)
• CPR / First Aid certification
• Experience with stretcher transports

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
