Duties

• Safely operate commercial shuttle vans to transport clients to medical appointments, pharmacies, and other destinations.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing courteous support and ensuring their safety.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare providers to coordinate schedules and address any special needs or concerns.
• Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage while maintaining a respectful and friendly demeanor.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition reports.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a secure transportation environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or van service is highly preferred.
• Proven delivery driver experience or commercial driving background demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
• Familiarity with paratransit services, heavy lifting techniques, and school bus driving is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse clients and team members.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting while maintaining a positive attitude.
